Musée de l'Homme
After three years of work, the renovation of the Musée de l’Homme, which occupies the last two levels of the right wing of the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, was completed in 2016.
Studio Gaïa was entrusted with the execution and summary study of the museography of this ambitious redevelopment project. The challenge was to transform this famous museum into a modern cultural place, whose interactive experience remains accessible to all. It was necessary to create versatile supports to store fragile, sometimes monumental, works in spaces that are both bright and pleasant.
The complex issues of conservation and storage of the works had to be reconciled with the existing structure and the need for visitor comfort.
